Christmas Decorating

I did the Christmas decorating at church this last weekend, and thought I'd share it with you! It was all very simple, with things the church already had on hand, but I think it turned out beautiful. :)

Here is a picture of our window arrangements. We have four windows on each side. There is a wreath between each one, and a candelabra on each sill. Here is a close up of the sill:

I wish I could take credit for these beauties, but they were here when we came. Some genius took regular, plastic, cheapy candelabras (you know the kind with plastic "wax" drips down the sides? Yeah, those) and hot glued poinsettias to the front. It makes them look way more festive and classy, in my opinion.

I also decorated the pulpit area with some garland, a centerpiece, some white lights and festive tablecloths. The centerpiece was donated in memory of someone, but the other things I just had on hand. The lights added the "bling" that it needed!

Here is a picture with the big lights off, so you get an idea of the ambiance. (Oooh Getty, I used your big word!)

So pretty!

In the back of the room, we have this table set up as our "Card Distribution Center." It is already getting used!

Wreaths on doors just make me happy. Even if they are fake!

We have yet to get the tree for the auditorium, but when we do, I'll be sure to post a picture. Because Christmas trees make me happy, too. :)

Anyone else doing any decorating for Christmas? Do you buy new decorations each year, or mostly use what you already have?

Comments

  1. The decorations are lovely! Our church has a "hanging of the greens" event every year. I've never participated, but it's always a treat to come to church the Sunday after and see all the beautiful decorations. It always makes me feel 10x more in the Christmas spirit :)
