Goals for the Week of November 23, 2015

Do you get excited for the start of a new week? I do! Usually by Sunday night I am in full planning mode for the week ahead. Even though Sunday is a busy day with multiple church services and responsibilities, I always come to the end of the day refreshed and rejuvenated for the week ahead. Time to sit down and plan my goals for the week! In my personal devotions this week I came across this verse: "A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion."  Psalm 112:5 KJV The second part of that verse struck me as being an important reason to set goals and tackle my days with intention and purpose. A good man "guiding his affairs" sounds like purposeful planning to me! And discretion is important to keep a healthy balance between work, home, family, etc. Plus if we are purposefully guiding our affairs, using discretion and discernment, we will be able to find the time and resources to "show favor and lend" to others!

I'm so excited to share this with you, friends! There is a fun link party that happens each week, and this time I was asked to be a part of it! Let me introduce you to the Social Media Link Party, better known as #SoMe2! This link party is a little different than most, because instead of linking up a blog post, you get to link up a social media post! Each week the hosts pick a different platform to focus on. It is a fun way to engage with some new people! I really enjoy participating! For this week's #SoMe2 party we're linking up an Instagram post - we can't wait to see yours! We want you to get a lot of comments and likes on your Instagram post, so please be sure you're linking up correctly!   Be sure you should link up the URL of an **INSTAGRAM POST** not your blog, not a blog post, not your Instagram profile But first, let's take a minute to meet your #SoMe2 hostesses.... And our #SoMe2 featured bl

Happy Monday, friends! It is time to share my report on my goals from last week and share the new ones for this week. I hope you are setting goals this week, too! If you are, I'd love for you to share them! We've had some great discussion and encouragement about goal-setting each week in the comments section , I'd love for you to join in! I didn't get a few things done this week that I was really aiming for, but that is ok, because some other fun stuff happened instead! That is the freedom of setting goals, not everything has to get done. If life gets busy or more important things come up, why then the goals can be tweaked or abandoned altogether! For instance, last night we had an impromptu victory celebration after that STRESSFUL win by the Patriots. Was anyone else freaking out during that? So glad they managed to squeak it out in the end! Also I celebrated with my piano students this week because they each met an important goal in the last couple months. I&
