The Little Blessings {A photo series}

A couple of years ago, I launched a series of daily posts to catalog the little blessings I received each day...through pictures. You can browse through those daily pictures here. It was such a fun project! I enjoyed seeing the blessings from even the little things in life, and it was so rewarding to photograph my blessings each day. I only stopped that series because I don't have internet at home, and it was difficult to get those daily pictures posted.

However, since I've been reading One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp, I've been motivated to start again! I already list the gifts God gives each day in my one thousand gifts list that you see each week, but I think starting a second list - a photo list - will be another helpful addition to this practice of seeing God in every detail of my life.

To switch things up a bit, I'm going to be posting these photos on my Facebook page, and I'd challenge you to follow along and participate! By posting them on Facebook, you will have the opportunity to share your own photos on my Facebook page as well, or just leave a comment sharing what God has blessed you with today. I'm excited to share these things with you, and see what God is doing in your life as well!

I will not be sharing a photo every single day, but I'm going to shoot for every weekday or as often as I can. You can be assured that even the days I don't get a picture up, I'm still counting the blessings God gives throughout the day and thanking Him for them!

I've already posted today's picture over on Facebook, but I'll share it here just to give you an idea of what is in store...

Small growing things that say, "Winter will not last forever!"

So will you share these blessings with me, and start taking a moment each day to thank God for your own one thousand gifts? I can't wait to see what He will do!

  1. I started in January doing the 1,000 gifts. I have it laminated and above my kitchen sink. Instead of photos, I'm keeping a journal where I record the 3 things each day. Even the kids ask now "what are our things to be thankful for today?" Love how it gets them involved too!

    1. I've been adding to my list off and on for a while, but since reading the book {well, the first half so far!} I've been motivated to do more! There is truly so much to be thankful for, but more than that, I am challenged to see God in every day things!
