Vacation...for my shop and myself!

This is the first time I've ever done this...put my entire shop on vacation! I mentioned Monday that I would be away for a few weeks, so it must be done. But don't you worry, I'll be planning some big new things for the shop while I'm away...and I'm already excited to share them with you when I get back!

Most recent addition... Retro flowers Tablet/eReader sleeve!

You will still be able to browse through So Sew Organized during this time...just not make any purchases. There is plenty of eye candy to be had over there!
 Update: it appears that you can no longer browse a shop while the owner is on vacation, boo! You can browse past and present products here on the blog under the label "Etsy Shop" or on our Facebook page. Hope you'll continue to stay in touch!

This one-way floral design is unique, but so summer-y and fun!

I will also still be interacting with people in the Etsy community and am also looking for improvement that can be made to my shop. Any advice or suggestions?

In other shop news, my sister came home from college last week with a report on the tote she has been using. She uses a Large Quilted Tote as a bookbag every day at school, and here is what she had to say..

"I use it every single day, and it has held up really well! I actually didn't expect it to!"

      Yes...I think the only way to do it is with a $25 gift card, so you have to wait an agonizingly long time until you get 2,500 Swagbucks, but...hey, you get $25 for it! =)

It is time for an update on my weekly goals! In case you missed last week , I decided to get back into the habit of setting intentional, weekly goals in order to accomplish more during the precious hours I have around my work schedule. I am happy to report that this first week went very well! I wasn't sure exactly how it would turn out. It has been a couple years since I really was purposeful about my goals, so to be honest I was slightly skeptical. Was I already doing enough? Did I have more time in a day to get things done? But it did help, so much! With goals for what I want to accomplish in a week, it was so easy to pull together my daily to-do list from those goals. Some Friday Love: Recipe Binder Printable!

To celebrate this beautiful Friday evening (aren't Friday's just the best of days?) I have a FREE printable for you! I have to admit that I don't have a recipe binder, but a reader asked if I could make a printable to match the others for a recipe binder. If there is one thing I love, it is making printables that meet the needs of my readers! This blog would be pretty boring without you, so passing on some love in the way of printables is the least I can do! Anyway, back to the printable. How did I get on the sappy train? Last month I spoke at a Christian Writer's Conference and met beautiful authors such as Susan Page Davis. I recently read her book, Frasier Island , and I am so excited to tell you about it! It is easy to tell when you've got your hands on a good book, and friends, this is a good book . It is full of mystery and intrigue, unexpected twists and plots, and just enough romance woven through to make it not over-the-top-lovey-dovey.
