Change {part 2}
If you missed Change part 1, read it here.
So, I have a bit of a surprise for you today. Ready for this?
I'm in the States.
Surprise!
Were you surprised? So was I! Here is the story...
You probably remember from reading the first part of this story that my visa to live in Canada was about to expire. I applied to renew it, knowing that I couldn't continue to live there with this visa forever.
That extension was denied.
I found out halfway through October that I had to leave - that very day. Talk about a moment of panic! I made a phone call and found out that I had to go as soon as arrangements could be made to leave.
So I packed my bags and wrapped up some of my responsibilities as best I could, and left Canada.
Talk about life throwing you a curve ball. It seems from my human perspective that I was in the middle of so many things - two church ministries, helping with a Bible study, plus piano lessons for my siblings, an upcoming Christmas program...plus, hello! My family and friends! I was also in the middle of my biggest blogging endeavor - 31 days of Sewing Basics. Did you notice that the second half was done from the states??? Sneaky...
Despite all these things - things that I thought were very important - the Lord apparently has a different plan...or a different route. I was talking with someone about knowing the future. Sometimes I wish I could see what was ahead, but in the end, it is probably better that I don't. That is why God is in charge of these things and not me, right? =)
So I wish I could tell you what is next. Truth is, I'm not sure. :) I'm planning to go visit my family for American thanksgiving, stay with them until Christmas, and then make some permanent plans. I appreciate so much your prayers for me during this time of change!
In the meantime, I'm having fun visiting with family. Upon arriving, my Grammie immediately set up a sewing room for me to have space to work on shop stuff. It has been wonderful! You know from one of last month's posts that I convert my bedroom at home into a sewing space - and its pretty small and cramped. Now I have a whole room to work in, and when I'm done at the end of the day, I can just walk out of it. No more cleaning everything up just to be able to go to bed at night! That part I love.
On the other side of the room is a cutting surface...
I've been hard at work! Will one of these be under your tree this year?
That is the only update I have so far, but I'll keep you posted! In the meantime, I appreciate your prayers as I make decisions and seek the Lord's will.
